Peter Racen is a business owner, entrepreneur, and an Estate and Business Planning Specialist with Northwestern Mutual Wealth Management Co. Peter spent the first 21 years of his professional career working in a family owned business that was started by his grandfather in 1946. The company grew over the years, but also dealt with several issues including the unexpected death of Peter’s father at a young age. The business was sold successfully to an outside buyer in 1999.  Peter joined Northwestern Mutual in October 1999 and has taken his experience as an owner of a closely held family business to help other business owners address the issues he and his family faced. Peter’s passion is to help business owners protect and preserve the value they worked so hard to create. Now as Director of Estate and Business Planning for the Clayton Network Offices of Northwestern Mutual, Peter focus is to provide integrated personal, business, estate planning, and investment services to business owners and high net worth clients.  

Peter’s vision since October 1999 has been to serve business owners, executives and high net worth clients by delivering financial services differently than what he experienced when he owned his family business.  He works with clients by first taking a collaborative advisory team approach to develop a comprehensive, values based approach to planning.  Peter works with the client’s other trusted advisors to gain clarity on the client’s goals. He and the other advisors then focus on achieving results through time-tested strategies and effective implementation.
