Prior to joining Northwestern Mutual, Jeff spent nine years as a regional director in the biopharmaceutical industry. Today, this experience helps him relate to corporate executives and the challenges of balancing work and family life. He realizes his role is often to serve as a catalyst for clients by helping them step back from the chaos of everyday life and spend time outlining what is truly important to them.Personally experiencing family tragedies has provided Jeff with added perspective to the importance of addressing risk-based needs and taking care of loved ones before unforeseen events occur. Jeff’s analytical nature is revealed through his strengths in strategic planning and problem solving. He has a heart for service and a desire to give back to others, with a special affinity for working with responsible, caring families, corporate executives, and aspiring, driven young professionals. Jeff is a graduate of University of Missouri-Columbia. Jeff and his wife Christina were thrilled to welcome daughter Emilia after 15 years of believing they were unable to have children. This blessing has created much joy and a DRAMATIC change of perspective and priorities in their lives. Jeff serves on the St Louis Learning Disability Association’s Young Professional Board. In addition, he enjoys being involved with his church, spending time with family, taking his daughter to the park, hiking, reading and spending time on the family farm.

Our team provides comprehensive needs analysis for our clients by reviewing the appropriateness of their investments and the adequacy of their insurance to help fulfill their needs throughout their lifetimes. Our team includes an estate and business planning specialist and one team member who has received the certification of CFP®. We are supported by a network of specialists as well as professionals at Northwestern Mutual’s home office.

Kevin Dooley has been a part of the financial services industry since 1998. He has earned recognition for his dedication to his clients, including the National Sales Achievement Award; Million Dollar Round Table Qualifying Member: 2001-2008; and the National Quality Award.  He has devoted his life to a personal mission of helping executives, families and business owners to understand the true purpose of money and to be better stewards of their finances. Kevin holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Northeast Missouri State (now Truman State) University. Kevin grew up in a family of 10 in Webster Groves, Missouri. Kevin and his wife Avril have two children, James and Lauren. In addition to spending time with his family, Kevin enjoys exercising, reading financial and motivational books, speaking at associations and motivational meetings, tennis and fishing. Kevin is heavily involved with the Christian Business Men Association.

Tom has been in the financial services industry since 1996 when he went to work for AG Edwards and Sons. Prior to that he had spent 18 years in a variety of sales, marketing and business consulting  positions with Dow Chemical. He joined Northwestern Mutual in 2003 as an Investment Specialist and currently works as a Wealth Management Advisor out of the Chesterfield, MO office. Tom’s primary focus is on personal and business planning. He combines practical experience with the full scope of products, services and expert assistance that Northwestern Mutual provides to help guide individuals to financial security. Tom graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in journalism. He and his wife, Ethel, have four sons, Dave, Dan, Michael and Ryan. They enjoy golf, hiking, travel and family vacations.

Lori has been a representative of Northwestern Mutual since 2006. Her personal background has led to her special interest in educating people about long term care insurance, having experienced declining health issues with both of her parents. She is a regular Core Coalition winner, illustrating her expertise in all of Northwestern Mutual’s defensive planning products. Her professional background makes her well-suited to working with those in detail-oriented professions such as engineering, construction, and accounting. Lori has a bachelor of science degree in geological engineering from the University of Missouri – Rolla. A lifetime resident of St. Louis, Lori lives with her husband Joe and sons Bryan and Eric, both in college in Columbia, MO. Joe owns a home remodeling company and is an avid fly-fisherman. The family enjoys the outdoors and all sports, particularly golf. Lori also loves to travel to the peaceful areas of the country to pursue her passion for photography. Lori is involved with the American Diabetes Association.

Kaye has been working for Peter as an Associate Financial Representative since September 2005. She is a graduate of Missouri State University-Springfield, Mo. and holds a bachelor of science degree in management and marketing. Prior to working for Northwestern Mutual, she worked for State Farm Insurance. She is a native of Washington, Missouri, but currently resides in West County with her husband, Dave, and identical twin daughters, Lauren and Jennifer. Her husband is a Sr. Director for Express Scripts involved in information technology infrastructure. Kaye is active in St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Teen Youth Group and also a committee dedicated to helping women achieve spiritual growth. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, biking and aerobics.

As part of the team, Kaye does the following:

  • Serves as our operations coordinator making sure your questions, concerns and service requests are taken care of with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Expedites owner/beneficiary changes.
  • Expedites the underwriting and policy approval process for all life and disability insurance applications.

Prior to moving to St. Louis, Lisa managed the corporate communications and investor relations of a worldwide manufacturing company. She has been a part-time communication and marketing assistant to Peter Racen since 2006. Lisa holds a bachelor of arts degree in communications from Millikin University. She is a native of Quincy, Illinois, and now lives in West County with her husband Mike, daughter Emma and step-son Ian. Mike is the Director of Development and Marketing for Child Day Care Association. The family is active in Parkway United Church of Christ. Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, writing, editing, participating in a mother/daughter book club, and yoga. In addition to responsibilities with her community and her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, Lisa has been a volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.

Colin has been working with Kevin S. Dooley since February of 2006. He has assumed responsibility for securities analysis and portfolio design for Kevin S. Dooley and Peter Racen. Colin is a De Smet Jesuit High School and Truman State University Graduate. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a minor in Economics. Colin is currently pursuing professional designations of Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Financial Planner. A native of Webster Groves and a current resident of University City, he enjoys an active and social life, and playing and listening to music.

Mindy has been working for Peter as an Associate Wealth Management Advisor since November 2010. She graduated from Webster University in Saint Louis, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Marketing Communications and a Master of Arts in Marketing. Prior to working for Peter, she was a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual for seven years and took a two-year hiatus to be a mom and help with her husband’s family business. She grew up in Broken Arrow, OK and currently resides in House Springs, MO with her husband, Nick, and sons, Will and Sam, and a baby on the way - due in June. Nick is a certified arborist and COO for a local tree service.  Mindy is also active with the tree business and at Our Lady Queen of Peace School and Church. In addition to spending time with family and friends, she enjoys mountain biking, scrapbooking, and traveling.

As part of the team, Mindy does the following:

  • Prepares advisory annual review information
  • Prepares and modifies PPA/PNA’s and investment/advisory proposals
  • Completes and updates risk tolerance questionnaire with client and assists in adjusting portfolios accordingly
